The Dunbarton Congregational Church, UCC invites the community for
Service of Tenebrae
In the Christian tradition, Jesus’ last Passover meal with his disciples is observed as Maundy Thursday. It was there that Jesus gave this commandment or mandate:
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. (John 13:34)
We will observe the Service of Tenebrae, with scripture readings accompanied by the extinguishing of candles.
Our gathering will be informal. All Families are welcome.
